San Marco represents a view of Venice, dominated by Saint Marck’s lion, the symbol of the city. In this picture, San Marco in framed by Provenza, an Obeche wooden frame, designed by a skilled master frame-maker in order to receive an arrangement of stabilised roses and further embellished with a 23,3 carat gold gilding.
